I can’t thank Dr. Epperly enough for helping me through a really tough time. After months of feeling stuck, I decided to try therapy. Dr. Epperly was so understanding and gave me practical tools to manage my anxiety. His approach is compassionate and no-nonsense, which made me feel heard and empowered. Dr. Jim Epperly is the "total package" when it comes to therapists. He has strong interpersonal skills and gets to know you and understand your individual situation. He is down to earth and easy to relate to. Dr. Epperly is also easy to trust and he provides a safe environment where you are able to talk about your deepest thoughts and feelings without judgment. He conveys warmth and genuineness and he's compassionate and caring. While therapy sessions are often difficult, Dr. Epperly is great at encouraging you and giving you a feeling of comfort. I am giving my review thru my husband's email address because I have had a problem getting on the internet.... My husband, Craig Zimmerman, and I rave about Dr. Epperly. I can with all confidence say that without Dr. Epperly's expert counseling we would not have made it to the alter. I was so discouraged after seeing another counselor, but Dr Epperly, after seeing us separately, in a flash, totally saw what we needed and said we would have to understand each other totally....he also mentioned most people didn't get results as quickly as we did...so without hesitating after I asked him if he thought we could make this relationship a success, Dr Epperly said YES. And gave us hope... yes I love the gentle way he explains to each of us, then counseling us together. We were married December 27th 2015, and with the help and loving guidance from our Dr Epperly, we are going stronger than ever. Dr. Epperly doesn't give up either, even when I have to say, I was ready to give up. And he is very just, sometimes it was my problem and of course in my eyes it was my husbands problem. Yes and I have referred Dr Epperly to a lot of people and I love hearing they are getting the same care....and success!!! Do I give him a five star rating? Absolutely,,,, but I am more than convinced he should have at least 100 stars.... Dr. Epperly's expertise, intuitive ability, and caring attitude helped save our marriage during a very difficult transition. Most importantly, he gave us the skills to understand each other, overcome obstacles, and effectively communicate. He is undoubtedly the best Marriage Therapist or Counselor I've known. Great man.

This was very helpful. We had couple of sessions with him. Just after three or four sessions we saw our relationship problems differently and were able to figure out a solution. It was so nice discussing with Dr. James Epperly. He is a wonderful listener. He provides a very different way of approaching problems in a relationship and understanding them better.

I have heard of James for YEARS from one of his patients - my daughter. I LOVE THIS MAN! He has a grounded, common sense approach to solving relationships and understanding how to ACT, RE-ACT to certain behaviors. I would HIGHLY recommend this counselor to anyone - in fact, I wished we lived closer so we could use him! We call him The Lifesaver.

Dr. Epperly has a prior PUBLIC consent order which is for your public protection on the GA state licensing board website. I did not know this when I began therapy with him. He began asking inappropriate questions and numerous boundary violations were incurred which were very destructive. Please do your research to make an informed decision and protect yourself and your family. BEWARE.
